In the morning a delicious smoothie, then at ten o’clock oatmeal and at noon banana pancakes… The most common question I receive from my clients and Slimming body guide followers is: “How can I lose weight when I have to eat more than I did before? ” But girls, it’s the truth. And I’m the living proof of that.
Just a quick story about my start, before I started In Love With Health, I had a period of time where I only ate 1000 calories a day. I felt so unhealthy, unhappy and had no energy at all. The reason that I ate so little was because I wanted to get rid of my love handles and be skinnier. But that didn’t happen. This can’t be right, I thought. Of course, I had no knowledge whatsoever about what healthy weight loss really was. I’ve spent months doing research and developed a method in which I could eat the most delicious recipes every day (because life is too short to eat boring and tasteless food lol) and would become healthier and slimmer. The Slimming Body method, which I offer to you, started at that moment. (At first I developed this method just for myself! Not knowing that two years later, almost 10.000 women would follow my method and achieve the most amazing transformations lol)
From week one I felt fitter and more energetic. Wow, what a wonderful feeling was that! Of course, I was also happy because not only could I eat again, I was eating the most delicious recipes. After two months I could honestly say I already had achieved my goals. My love handles were gone, I was slimmer and tighter and I saw a beautiful shape in my body again. Also, I felt super fit and my gut problems were solved (at the hospital they didn’t know how to help me for two years). Now 1,5 years later, I still follow my own method daily and I feel super happy, healthy and fit!!!! I found the love for my body again and the love to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I am also very proud that thousands of other women have been able to accomplish this through my method. Read for example, a couple success stories.
Getting back to the topic of this week. “Why it’s not always better to eat less?” Did you know that your body stores fat reserves when it doesn’t get enough food? And there’s more, because when we eat too little, our body doesn’t receive enough nutrients which makes us feel washed out, cranky and tired (exactly how I used to feel). Do you want to become fitter or do you just want to lose some weight, then you need to change your lifestyle. And fortunately I have some tips for you!
- Don’t skip breakfast!
Skipping your breakfast is really bad. It’s important to start your day with pure nutrition. For example my ”breakfast bowl”.
- Take a healthy snack, 3 hours after your lunch break
Even though you’re not that hungry or you’re too busy at work. Don’t forget your lunch. And after about 3 hours after your lunch, treat yourself with a healthy snack. For example, if you lunch at 1 ‘o clock, then take an apple with delicious nutbutter at 4 ‘o clock. Click here for the recipe.
- A snack before bedtime?
A little snack after your dinner is ok. And don’t worry about getting fat. It’s all about the choices you make. You can take some veggies with a hummus dip or some cottage cheese. This way you can resist your cookie craving which normally starts around 9 ‘o clock when you’re really getting hungry.
- Last but not least… Are you hungry? EAT!
Sometimes you can be hungry at the weirdest moment. Try to take a glass of water first. Are you still hungry after 10 minutes? Then ask yourself the question if you’re really hungry or if you’re just bored. If you’re really hungry, then your body needs food. So, eat!
