Did you know that everything you eat and drink can influence how you feel? Certain food can considerably improve your mood! Moreover, this food will give you energy in contrary to all the unhealthy processed food which only takes away your energy. I have personally experienced that eating the next 5 types of food have a positive effect on your fysical and mental condition. It’s also scientifically proven.

Raw cacao: there is a good explanation why we always crave chocolate when we feel down. Make sure you chose your chocolate wisely, go for pure unprocessed chocolate. Raw cacao is a source of food with contains one of the highest amounts of antioxiadants and magnesium. It has been proven to increase your energy level as well as your mood. That sounds great, right ladies?! Give your mood a boost by adding some raw cacao or cacao nibs to your smoothie next time.

Healthy fats: it has been proven that eating food such as wild salmon, sardines and walnuts has a positive effect on symptomes of depression. All these products contain omega-3 which helps your brains to maintain healthy chemical levels. This may sound a bit complicated, but it basically means that eating healthy fats is good for you! Not a big fan of fish? Go for supplements which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids to get in your daily portion of fatty acids.

Chili: chili is not only great to spice up your dish, it also helps your brains in producing endorfin. Endorfin is also known as the happy hormon. It boosts your mood and gives you that happy feeling!

Vitamin B: choose products that are rich in vitamin B and will automatically notice some positive changes in your mood. Eggs, chicken, bananas, green leafy vegetables, seafood, almonds and avocado are all rich in vitamin B.

Unprocessed food: eat unprocessed natural food. This may be the most important tip of all. This means you have to stay away from foods such as instant meals, fastfood and artificial sweeteners, flavoring and coloring.
