Prevent overeating and lose extra weight!

Every once in a while we are all guilty of eating more than our body needs. And afterwards it feels like you have gained 5 kilos. Of course, that’s not possible! Overeating is no problem as long as it happens once in a while and not every day. When it happens more often it can turn into a habbit and that’s something we need to avoid. However, being to hard on yourself is also not good.

You probably know the feeling… You have been eating healthy for two weeks in a row and you don’t allow yourself any treats. At some point the temptation will be too much and you start eating every bar of chocolat, cookie or bag of chips you can find! This is what we call overeating and this can be prevented. You want to know how? Read my golden tips below!

  1. Eat ‘real’ food

By eating real food I mean eating unprocessed food, so no canned or pre-packed food. Your body needs fuel to keep you doing but that shouldn’t come from processed food. Choose your food wisely. For instance go for whole–wheat grains (nutrient dense) instead of white (nutrient poor). Moreover, fruit and vegetables (yes, here they are again), fish, nuts and grains are important to get in the right nutrients. In my Slimming Body Guide you’ll find more than 100 mouth-watering quick and easy recipes which are made from nutrients your body needs. From cheesecake to curry to chocolatecake, you’ll find them here!

  1. Never skip breakfast

Probably a few of you have tried to lose weight by skipping meals. Especially breakfast is a popular meal to skip. Unfortunatly ladies.. by skipping breakfast  you will be starving and feeling washed out all day which causes you to eat even more during the day. Breakfast is crucial babes.

  1. Keep a food diary

Buy a cute notebook and keep track of what you eat and how you feel afterwards (no, I don’t mean start counting calories!). This will take some time, but this way you will be more aware of what you eat. It makes it possible to break your ‘bad habits’.

  1. Eat consiously

Stress is a no go! When you’re stressed out, your food is not being digested as well as it should. And because of the stress hormones your metabolism doesn’t work properly. Eating too fast can lead to overeating. When your plate with chicken, rice and veggies is empty within ten minutes you will still feel hungry so what do you do? You take another plate! You shouldn’t do that! What you should do is wait for a bit or eat more slow, because it takes 20 minutes for your brains to notice you are actually full. So start to eat conciously and enjoy your meal.

  1. Avoid stress

You have a busy job, hobbies, school, maybe you’ve got children but still you only have 24 hours a day. At some point this will cause you to be constantly stressed out and we now know what that means.. You’ll start overeating. Try to relax a bit more by taking some yoga classes or do some meditation.

  1. Get a good night sleep

8 hours of sleep, that’s what our body needs to avoid cravings and to get those fat regulating hormones to do their job. Moreover, you will have more energy to work out when you have enough sleep (girlspower!). A bad night will cause your body to lose muscles mass. And that’s not what we want, right? So ladies.. from now on we will go to bed one hour earlier. It’s super beneficial as you can see.

  1. Exercise

Love a good work out! By exercising you’ll  be able to lose weight, maintain weight and control your appetite (so you won’t overeat). The goal is to exercise for 30 minutes a day. You can do this by going for a walk, doing a jump rope or trampoline work out, whatever you can come up with that you enjoy. But you can always add some extra work outs from my Slimming Body Guide. You will find 16 pages of exercises explained to you step by step and a 12 week work out plan! Your dreambody is within reach, gorgeous!
