4 tips to get back on track

You’re living the healthy life; you’re sporting regularly and you’re enjoying the tasty and healthy dishes you make! You’re feeling good! But then… you’ve made these great plans to go out for a run/go to the gym tonight. But then there is your couch, your deliciously and comfy couch is screaming for you. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. And while you are walking towards this comfy heaven called couch, you’re calling the pizza guy: “One big pizza quatro stagioni with extra cheese please”, you hear yourself saying. And there your lazy evening begins. Absolutely nothing wrong with this. In fact: allowing yourself a cheat moment once in a while, can give you more strength to maintain living your healthy lifestyle! But what if these cheat moments happens more often then once in a while? What if you are really struggling with keeping on the right, healthy track? How do you get yourself motivated again? Here below you find four tips to get back on the road to a happy and healthy you!

  1. Remember why you started

What is the reason why you started? It is because you want to give your energy level a boost, want to lose some extra weight or do you just want to feel healthy? Make sure you have an achievable goal which can be reached in a healthy way. And make your goal visible. For example; is your goal to look fabulous in that little black dress again? Then put that dress on a clothing hanger in the middle of your bed room. Now you’ll see the dress every day and it will make sure you’ll remember your goal. Just know what you’re doing it for!

  1. Find your inspiration online

Online you can find so many amazing inspiration. A healthy lifestyle is hot and many people are living it. And also many people are showing and sharing their lifestyles online. For example, take Instagram. Many users made specials account just to show the world what they eat during the day and what they do for exercise. Some people also share their progress shots. It’s always inspiring to see how other people live their healthy lifestyles.

And if you’re really into it, you can even start your own (anonymously ;) ) account so that people can support you! You will see how motivating that is!

  1. Sport buddy

No matter how great online inspiration is, sometimes you just want someone to look in your eyes to motivate you. So go find yourself a sport buddy! You will experience that it’s easier to work out if you do it together. Not only you can push each other just to kick ass a little bit harder. You will also have a lot more fun then you had working out alone.

  1. Go find yourself a new work out gear

Are you still sporting in your faded sport clothes from at least five years ago? Well then just maybe now it’s time to purchase something new.
Even if you only work out in your own living room and nobody else sees you. You see you! And believe me, you feel a lot more excited to exercise if you can put on that fancy new sport shirt you just bought!
