Tips to love your body

I have this dream that every woman loves her body and is happy with who she is, inside and out. I know this is kind of a big dream, but I know it’s possible! Okay, I can hear you think: ‘ Nice that you have this dream Lisa, but loving your body sounds easier than it is.’ That I know to be true from my own experience but that’s exaclty the reason I wrote this article to give you some inspiration and tips to love your own body and stop the endless fight with yourself. It’s totally worth it!

  1. Become your own best friend

It’s a big lie that the love for your body will come on it’s own once you find your body perfect. Believe me sweeties it won’t come on it’s own! So stop with paying attention at everything you dislike about your body and the lies you tell yourself about your body every day. From now on, you become your own best friend. It will take you some time to stop the thoughts about what you want to be different about your body and to be happy with the body you have, but I know for sure that you will succeed!

  1. Look in the mirror and love what you see

Try to love what you see in the mirror, it’s you! Stop with comparing yourself with other women. Choose to love yourself, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. You don’t want to end up as a 80 year old year lady who’s looking at pictures with her best friend and thinks: why didn’t we see we’ve always been beautiful?

  1. Don’t waste your time with things you don’t like

Please don’t waste your time doing a sport you don’t like, eating food you don’t like or trying to be someone you are not. Find a sport that gives you positive energy and joy, eat the food that is good for you and be yourself! This is also important for the hobbies you have, the work you do and other daily activities. Spend time doing things that are important to you and give you joy.

  1. Accept your body

Our bodies will change through the years. When you continu to eat healthy, exercise regularly and love your body you will get so much new energy.

  1. Help other women with accepting their body

 When we, as ladies, get a compliment we hardly ever accept that compliment. You yourself are probably also doing this. Help other women to accept their body and who they are by noticing when they don’t accept a compliment. You can say: ‘ Please accept my compliment, it’s really true what I’m saying..’ Also pay attention when you hear another woman talking bad about herself and tell her that you prefer to hear her say what a beautiful woman she is and that she can be proud of herself.

I hope you now can embrace and love yourself, despite your weight or size. Put an end to the endless fight with yourself and look in the mirror being proud of yourself sweethearts.
