In Love With Health

How to get up early for your workout?

Okay I have a confession to make. I am also not a pro in getting up early.. your bed is such a comfy place in the morning right? Especially now that it’s getting colder outside brrr. But I do love to start my mornings with some exercising. I actually always work out in the morning. This doesn’t only have physical benefits but mentally it’s also good for you. We all know that physical exercise is good for you, but why exactly is it good to do this in the morning? It’s the ideal way to start your day energetically, it improves your metabolism and it increases your mental focus. I will give you some tips which will hopefully convince you to get up early!! For me it really helped sweeties!

  1. Go to bed early

Don’t drink any coffee or alcohol after diner. This will disturb your sleeping rhythm. Swith off all electronic devices at least one hour before you go to bed. Sorry ladies, no more checking your Facebook and Instagram when you’re in bed! I have to admit, this is maybe the hardest thing for me to do. Guilty!

  1. Prepare your meals the night before

And make sure your work out gear, iPod and work out plan from the Slimming Body Guide are ready in place to get you started tomorrow morning. Don’t forget to get put your bottle of water in the fridge.

  1. Put your alarm in a different room (or away from your bed at least)

This sounds kind of rough right? But it works!! Once you get out of bed it’s easier to wake up and you won’t be seduced to snooze (are you guilty?). This will make it harder to get out of bed.

  1. Make sure your playlist is up to date

Have you ever noticed that you push yourself more when that great song is on? That last rep is done before you know it! When I know I have a great playlist I’m ever more motivated to do my work out. Try it to believe it!

  1. Make it a date

Plan to do your work out together with your friend, trainer or niece. You are not going to cancel on them right? Be each others work out buddies! It’s a great excuse to see each other more often as well.

  1. Keep it interesting

Skip the exercises you don’t like. Do you really hate it to go for a run? Then don’t do it! There are plenty of other exercises . Go for a hike with your dog, dance on your favorite song or let those muscles burn at het gym.. just like me (love it!).

Well ladies, hopefully these tips will help you! Tomorrow morning you will get up at 05.00 o’clock right? ;-) Okay, that’s a bit too early mably. 07.00 o’clock, deal? GOOD LUCK!
